2UAE eligibilityDone

Why this matters: every UAE hire needs a work permit, so recruiters filter on nationality, visa status and how soon you can join before they read your experience. Leaving these out makes you harder to place, not more neutral.

Built automatically from the answers above. You can edit it by hand.

      UAE CV questions, answered

Should I add a photo to a UAE CV?

It depends. Add one when the job ad asks for it, for customer-facing roles such as hospitality, aviation, retail and front office, and on versions you send directly to recruiters by email or WhatsApp. Leave it off CVs you upload to online portals and applicant tracking systems, where images can interfere with parsing. The builder keeps the photo out of the ATS version for exactly this reason.

What visa status should I write on my CV?

Be specific, because vague labels slow recruiters down. Examples: “Employment visa (transferable)”, “Golden Visa”, “Dependent visa”, “Visit visa valid until 15 Jan 2027” or “Based overseas, requires visa sponsorship”. State transferability where it applies, and put the status in plain text near the top of page one.

How long should a UAE CV be?

One to two pages. A single page suits fresh graduates, and two pages suit experienced candidates. Use a clean, single-column, reverse-chronological layout with a short summary, key skills, achievement-focused experience, education, certifications and languages.

Should I mention my notice period on my CV?

Yes. Recruiters plan around it, and notice periods in the UAE commonly run from 30 to 90 days. Write it plainly, for example “30 days’ notice”, or say you are available immediately if you are free to join.

Should I include salary expectations on my CV?

No. Keep salary out of the CV and share your expectation only when a recruiter or the application form asks for it. If you do mention budgets or results in your experience section, use a currency recruiters recognise, such as AED or USD.
