Flipkart's Big Billion Days 2026 opens to everyone on October 9, with early access on October 8 for Flipkart Plus, Flipkart Black and Flipkart credit card members. Flipkart has no "Prime" tier. Its equivalents are Flipkart Plus and Flipkart Black, so their benefits are covered below.

Diwali falls on November 8, 2026, so expect follow-up festive sales into early November even after Big Billion Days ends. Note that Amazon's sale opens one day earlier, on October 8, the same day as Flipkart's early access.

Special highlights this year

Bank partners. Axis Bank and ICICI Bank offer a 10% instant discount on select cards. That's a change from Amazon, which uses SBI.

Wider early access. It now includes Black members and Flipkart co-branded credit card holders, not just Plus members.

super.money cashback. New super.money users get 10% cashback on their first transaction.

Payment flexibility. No Cost EMI, Flipkart EMI benefits and Pay Later offers are also available.

Flipkart is also teasing price drops on the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra and Motorola Edge 70 Fusion, but final prices haven't been revealed. Prices for the iPhone 17 Pro series also haven't been revealed yet.

Read the fine print. These "effective" prices include bank and exchange offers. If you don't have an ICICI or Axis card, or nothing to exchange, your price will be higher.

Expected discounts by category

Flipkart hasn't published official category-wide percentages yet, so these are deal-site estimates based on past editions.

Treat "up to 90% off" claims with caution, since those usually apply to a handful of fashion or accessory items.

Advantages for Flipkart Plus and Black members (Flipkart's version of Prime)

Flipkart Plus is earned through SuperCoins from shopping activity, while Black is a paid tier. Check your account to see which you have. The sale itself is open to everyone from October 9; membership only adds the early window and the extra discount.

How to get the best deals

  1. Pick the platform based on the card you hold. If you have an SBI card, check Amazon first. If you have ICICI or Axis, check Flipkart first. This one choice often matters more than the listed price difference.
  2. Wishlist and prepare now. Add products to your wishlist and cart, save your address and payment method, and update the app before October 8. Popular phones sell out in the first hour of early access.
  3. Check whether you qualify for early access. Look at your Plus status in the app. If you hold a Flipkart Axis Bank credit card, you already qualify.
  4. Read the "effective price" carefully. Headline prices like "₹79,999" assume the bank discount and exchange bonus. Calculate what you'll actually pay with your card and your old device.
  5. Get your exchange value in advance. Check your old phone or TV's exchange value now, and keep the device in good condition with accessories.
  6. Verify the discount is real. Check the product's price over the past few weeks, or use a price-history tracker. Some prices are raised before sales.
  7. Compare across both sales. Since Amazon starts a day earlier, compare the same model on both platforms on October 8–9 before buying.
  8. Watch flash deals and price drops. Flipkart runs limited-time deals throughout the sale, and prices sometimes drop again closer to Diwali for non-urgent purchases.
  9. Stay safe. Shop only through the official Flipkart app or flipkart.com. Ignore WhatsApp or SMS messages offering "BBD lucky draws" or links asking for card details.
